Amongst the fielders with most catches across formats throughout their careers, Tendulkar is ranked at No. 13 with 256 catches in 664 matches. He has taken a maximum of four catches in an innings with an average of 0.311 catch/innings.
He is the third Indian cricketer behind Rahul Dravid (334 catches in 509 matches) and Mohammad Azharuddin (261 catches in 433 matches). Talking about formats, Tendukar has taken 115 catches in 200 Test matches, 140 catches in 463 ODIs and a lone catch in the only T20I that he played.
