The Proteas’ innings was another example of their top-order crumbling down under pressure against the high-spirited Indian bowlers. With half the side back in the pavilion at the score of 79, saving the Test was always going to be a daunting task for the remaining batsmen.
Fast bowler Vernon Philander (37) and spinner Keshav Maharaj (22) did stitch a 56-run partnership for the eighth wicket but it did no good to the outcome of the match.

India's 11th consecutive series victory at home – a new Test record.
Australia had twice won 10 home series in a row in 1994 to 2001 to 2004 to 2008#IndvSA #IndvsSA— Mohandas Menon (@mohanstatsman) October 13, 2019
Yet another crushing win for India. @imVkohli led with the double ton not to forget @mayankcricket and then the superb bowling unit doing the job again. And look at the seamers! That’s what is diff about this India. Rabada and co were no match for Shami and Umesh.

India's biggest win over South Africa. Been better at all aspects. And the series has been won, not on minefields, but on perfectly good tracks. This one in Pune was excellent.
