The cricketing fraternity is supporting the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to win finally lift their maiden title in IPL 2020  as many feel that playing in UAE will work to their advantage due to the bigger grounds in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. However, RCB pacer Umesh Yadav differs from what the critics are saying and feels that working hard is more important than relying on conditions which are favorable in order to win games in IPL.

During a recent interview with India Today, Yadav said, “This is cricket, nobody knows what will favor which team in this tournament. It’s better to work hard than to rely on favors. If the bigger grounds favor us then fine but you also need to be 100 satisfied with your own performance. We have world-class spinners in Yuzvendra Chahal, Moeen Ali, and Washington Sundar who have been doing so well for RCB. Our spin-bowling attack is really good.”

When asked if there will be any pressure for him as the fast-bowling spearhead of RCB, Umesh said the speedsters will share the responsibilities equally between themselves.

Umesh replied, “We have Chris Morris and Dale Steyn on the side so I feel we have the experience in our fast-bowling unit. Navdeep Saini has also played a few international matches so I don’t think anybody will be under too much pressure. Everybody has their own role defined, if we perform according to that we won’t be under pressure. We need to support and back each other, if the team plays as a unit the results will follow.”

Every year the loyal RCB fanbase has often been seen chanting the slogan “Ee Sala Cup Namde”, which basically translates to “this year the cup will be ours”. Umesh opened up on the slogan that the loyal fans chant every year and said that the team will be winning the trophy for their fans.
