After Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper, MS Dhoni helped his team to win the first Qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, and take them to the final, with his explosive finishing abilities, his Royal Challengers (RCB) counterpart Virat Kohli took to Twitter to congratulate CSK’s beloved Thala.

Tagging MSD in a post, the outgoing RCB and India captain Kohli tweeted, “Anddddd the king is back, the greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight.” MS Dhoni will be serving as the mentor of Team India when they take the field for the T20 World Cup in Dubai, later this month.

However, Virat Kohli made a change in his final tweet as he has earlier tweeted, “Anddddd the king is back, the greatest finisher in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight.” This shows the respect Virat has for MS Dhoni as he wanted this appreciation to be a perfect one.

In today’s match, MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first keeping the trend of the stadium and CSK’s performance in mind. Delhi Capitals got off to a flying start thanks to their star openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw. Meanwhile, Shaw looked like a man on a mission and didn’t let CSK bowlers settle down.

A flurry of wickets put DC in a tricky position as they were 80/4 in 10 overs. Shimron Hetmyer and Rishabh Pant took the charge from there on and shared 83 runs for the fifth wicket. DC skipper scored an unbeaten 51 runs in 35 balls and took Delhi Capitals’ total to 172/5 in 20 overs.

In response, CSK got off to a poor start as they lost their star opener Faf du Plessis in the first over as Anrich Nortje bowled a brilliant inswinger. Robin Uthappa smashed DC bowlers for fun and scored a fine fifty while putting on a 110-run stand with Ruturaj Gaikwad for the second wicket.
