The 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has started with a bang where the opening match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) ended up with a nail-biting one. RCB beat Mumbai by two wickets and now fans are waiting to see the clash between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer made his fans confused with his coded tweet.

Jaffer is known for his humour who often posts coded tweets and meme on social media. And, this time too, he took to his Twitter handle and shared his thoughts. The batting coach of the Punjab Kings – one of the IPL franchises tweeted a coded message and shared his choice of two players to watch out for the game.

“Picking 2 players to watch out for tonight. I’ll reveal the names in the evening, but let’s see how many decode it before that #CSKvDC #IPL2021” the 43-year-old veteran tweeted.

Meanwhile, fans took the initiative to decode the player from Delhi Capitals and it was no surprise that he was talking about Prithvi Shaw as the player to watch out for as he has been in sublime form in the recently-concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. He hammered a whopping 827 runs including 4 centuries and ended the season as the highest run-getter.

However, he had started well in the IPL 2020 but faced a rough patch soon after as he scored just 228 runs from 13 games at an average of 17.53. Moreover, he was dropped from India’s Test XI after a poor show in the first game against Australia too.

On the other hand, fans were confused about the player of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) which Wasim Jaffer mentioned in the tweet, although many said that he indicated towards Sam Curran, the youngster of Englandtoohas been in good form. He had a great show for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020 and he is expected to carry forward his form in IPL 2021 too and plays a crucial role for the three-time IPL title-winning team.
