The pandemic spread of the COVID-19 virus has brought the world down to a standstill. Everyone is in isolation for personal safety. With no cricket going on, all the cricketers have a lot of free time on their hands right now. They are making the most of it by spending time with family. Many cricketers have also been proactive on their social media in the past few weeks due to the lockdown. On Saturday, India international and Ranji Cricketer Wasim Jaffer also decided to enlist his followers and shared his all-time ODI XI.

The Ranji trophy legend Wasim Jaffer picked his all-time greatest ODI XI. Jaffer’s all-time XI is a team filled with superstars. Wasim decided to have his fellow Mumbaikars in India legend Sachin Tendulkar and current vice-captain of the Indian team Rohit Sharma in the team as his openers. Jaffer’s 11 consists of 4 Indians with current captain Virat Kohli and World Cup winner and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni making the cut.

Jaffer has left the No 3 slot for the former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards. With Kohli batting in at no 4, Jaffer has sandwiched South African wicket-keeper and Kohli’s teammate AB de Villiers between Kohli and English allrounder Ben Stokes. MS Dhoni follows p after the English all-rounder as Jaffer moves onto the bowling attack of his ODI 11.
Wasim Jaffer has decided to go with Pakistan left-arm legend Wasim Akram mixing him up with right arm fast West Indian Joel Garner. With Glen McGrath as the only permanent Australian player in the team, Wasim Jaffer has kept either of Saqlain Mushtaq or Shane Warne as the only spinner option in his aal time ODI 11.

Many cricketers and former players have been using the lockdown as an opportunity to use social media to engage with their fans. Kevin Pietersen has initiated quite a few Instagram live sessions with prominent players. India skipper Virat Kohli and former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn have been a part of Pietersen’s Instagram sessions wherein the former Englishman discusses cricket and several other topics with them.
Indian Vice-captain Rohit Sharma also joined hands with Mumbai Indians teammate and India pacer Jasprit Bumrah and coordinated an Instagram live session between them. Players like Shane Warne, Smriti Mandhana and Bradd Hogg have also scheduled QnA sessions on Twitter.
