Watch – Pakistani Cricket Fan Urges For Peace Ahead Of Indo-Pak Clash At WC

The tension between India and Pakistan has risen to a new high after a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, where the Indian army lost more than 45 CRPF soldiers. Pakistan based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed the responsibility of this attack. Now, the Indian government, as well as public, is raising their voice to boycott Pakistan in the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.

India and Pakistan are set to play against each other on 16th June in Manchester, which is expected to be the most awaited encounter of the tournament. India holds a clear advantage against Pakistan in World Cups, where they defeated their neighbor country on all six meetings they had till now. This June, they are lined-up to meet seventh time in the marquee tournament.

Meanwhile, a Pakistan cricket fan named Adil Taj came up with a message for both countries and asked for peace and good relations. Adil sang the Indian national anthem during the Asia Cup clash between both nations in UAE last year.

In a video posted by ANI, he said, “Fans of India and Pakistan live peacefully in the United Arab Emirates. Shahid Afridi still has a Sachin Tendulkar signed T-shirt autographed by Indian Cricket team in his home. Afridi and Shoaib Akhtar have time and again accepted and said on record that they have received more love in India than Pakistan.”

Taj’s video went viral on social media during the Asia Cup where he was seen singing the Indian national anthem of India.

Talking to India Today about his viral video, Adil quoted “I was humbled by the respect Indians showed when our (Pakistan) anthem was being played so I thought that I should also make a small gesture from my side.”

Amidst, the BCCI gave positive signs regarding India vs Pakistan clash in June. ICC expressed their excitement by revealing that there were over 200,000 applications for this iconic match, where the stadium only has 25,000 seat capacity.
