The salute celebration of West Indian fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell after taking wickets has been trending in the ongoing ICC World Cup since then he did it for the very first time. However, in this way, he pays tribute to the Jamaican Defence Force (JDF). Unfortunately, his bowling was not enough for his side to qualify for the semi-finals and eventually they have been knocked out from the tournament. Though they knocked out of the World Cup after India thrashed them, his celebration has been copying by India pacer Mohammed Shami.

However, during the game at the Old Trafford, Mohammed Shami was seen copying Sheldon Cottrell’s celebration style after he got dismissed. Yuzvendra Chahal trapped Cottrell in front of the stumps in the 30th over. After his dismissal, Shami tried to imitate the salute celebration which left everyone in splits. While some of the fans didn’t like the way Shami disrespected the Army, Sheldon Cottrell gave a funny reply in his response while asking about this.
