India are currently playing against the defending champion Australia where they put up a huge total of 352 after 50 overs. The fans became pleased with their performances. But which caught the eye of everyone, is none other than India captain Virat Kohli’s behaviour towards Steve Smith while batting at the Kennington Oval. Steve Smith was fielding at the long on where India fans were trying to distract him. He has recently returned to the squad after a one-year ban. Kohli was batting at that time and realised the matter, asking the crowd to cheer for Smith. Later, Smith walked up to Kohli and both shook hands.
Here is the video:
Sam Landsberger, the journalist replied pretty well.
Wow. How good is this from Virat Kohli? Steve Smith is sent to field on the boundary, and immediately cops the most hideous boos from the Indian fans. So Kohli turns to that stand and gestures for them to clap Smith. #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/GBTPaolOXh

Batting first, Shikhar Dhawan smashed a hundred while Rohit Sharma scored a half-century. Kohli scored 82 off 77 while Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni smashed quickfire 48 and 27 respectively and took India to a huge total of 352/5 in 50 overs. Dhawan’s 117 came in 109 balls which included 16 fours while captain Virat Kohli’s 82 off 77 balls included four fours and two sixes.
Hardin Pandya was promoted up the order at No. 4, who smashed a 27-ball 48 (4×4, 6×3) and didn’t allow the bowlers to create pressure on them. Dhoni too was in good touch, scoring a blitzy 14-ball 27 with three fours and a huge six off Mitchell Starc. Marcus Stoinis took 2 wickets, conceding 62 runs while Nathan Coulter-Nile and Pat Cummins picked up one wicket each but both were not in a good form.
