Wishes pour in as former India captain MS Dhoni turns 41

Former India captain MS Dhoni celebrated his 41st birthday on Thursday, although the celebration started early when He was seen celebrating the special day with his family and friends in the United Kingdom, including his wife Sakshi, daughter Ziva and a close circle of friends.

However, Sakshi shared the video of midnight birthday celebrations of Dhoni’s 41st birthday. There MS Dhoni could be seen cutting the cake in the presence of his close ones. Meanwhile, Indian star Rishabh Pant was also spotted there as Pant is also in the United Kingdom currently with the Indian team as they are playing in a series against England across formats. Sakshi also shared the picture of MS Dhoni with all his friends where Pant can also be seen as well.

MS Dhoni is known for his cricketing brain and immense knowledge. Under his captaincy, India won the 2011 ODI World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy. No other player has captained his country to victory in all 3 ICC tournaments so far as well. However, it was his cool and composed nature that made him different from others and also made him an icon.

A surprise choice for the captaincy in 2007, MS Dhoni-led Team India in 200 ODIs, out of which the team won 110 matches. At home, he led the team to 43 wins out of 73 matches as well. Till now, MS Dhoni has represented India in 90 Tests, 348 ODIs and 98 T20Is and also scored more than 10,000 ODI runs, and near about 5,000 runs in Test cricket as well. And, on his special day, everyone started wishing him on social media.

On the other hand, another former Indian captain Virat Kohli has also posted a heartfelt birthday note to his ‘elder brother’ MS Dhoni. “A leader like no other. Thanks for everything you have done for Indian cricket. You became more like an elder brother for me. Nothing but love and respect always. Happy birthday skip,” Virat Kohli’s birthday post for MS Dhoni read.
