CSK management seemed upset with Harbhaajn when he decided not to play UPL 2020 citing personal reasons and then the management decided to let go of the veteran. Meanwhile, KKR showed interest in the 40-year-old and picked him during IPL 2021 auctions. He is unlikely to get any game and will be warming the bench for the entire season. Harbhajan is not active in any form of competitive cricket apart from IPL and it’ll end up him getting no bidders in the IPL 2022.
3. Imran Tahir
South Africa’s veteran right-arm leg-spin bowler Imran Tahir always had a memorable outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The spinner had started his career in the T20 Extravaganza during the 2014 edition with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). Renowned as one of the best spinners to play in the IPL, Imran has 80 scalps under his belt from 58 IPL matches at an economy rate of 7.83 and an average of 21.1.

Tahir won the purple cap in 2019 as he had scalped 26 wickets. However, he struggled to find a place in the Playing XI in IPL 2020 as he donned the yellow jersey for just three matches and managed to take just one wicket. Thus, the chances of Imran Tahir finding a place in the CSK team this year also looks slim as Moeen Ali will be favored ahead of him. He is unlikely to get picked by any franchise and is most likely playing his last season in IPL.
