Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has never been knocked for mincing his words – be it on the field or off the field. The cricketer-turned-politician is someone who has a strong opinion on topics ranging from cricket to some of the national issues as well.
The veteran southpaw was one of the most consistent and complete batsmen to have played for India and today he is celebrating his 38th birthday. He has played 58 Tests and 147 ODIs amassing 4154 and 5238 runs respectively at an average of 41.95 and 39.68. The two-time World Cup-winner played a pivotal role in India’s 2007 and 2011 triumphs.

#5 Gambhir Takes A Dig At Security Arrangements In Pakistan
Recently, Gambhir criticized the security arrangements made for the Sri Lankan team on tour in Karachi for the limited-overs series against the Men in Green by uploading a video. Sharing the video, which can be expected to have been recorded by a Pakistani citizen, Gambhir tweeted: “Itna Kashmir kiya ke Karachi bhool gaye.” In the one-minute 26 seconds long video, two Karachi men, sitting in a car, seem to be mocking the level of security that has been deployed for the ongoing three-ODI series against Sri Lanka.
