During the fifth and deciding Test of West Indies’ tour of Australia in 1992-93 at Perth, Sir Curtly Ambrose displayed a spell of bowling which was never seen before and perhaps, will never be seen again.
On a lush-green WACA deck, the then 29-year old right-arm fast bowler picked up seven Australian wickets for just a lone run in a span of 32 balls. Australia crumbled from 85-2 to 119-10 in no time.
The other notable point from this match was that it was the first time that former Australian captain and legendary batsman, Allan Border, was dismissed for a pair in Test cricket. After winning the toss, his decision to bat went against the team as Australia ended up losing the match by an innings and 25 runs.
