Yuvraj Singh Reveals his Desire to Begin Coaching in Future

With no cricket going on, all the cricketers have a lot of free time on their hands right now. Many cricketers have also been proactive on their social media in the past few weeks due to the lockdown. On Sunday, Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh spoke with English middle-order batsman Kevin Pietersen during an Instagram live session. During their conversation, Yuvraj revealed his future plans and expressed his desire to begin coaching.

Speaking with Pietersen, Yuvraj Singh confessed that he is more interested in coaching than commentary, He also revealed his ability to read a players’ mindset. Yuvraj added that t would be a big asset fr him that will help him in while coaching.

Yuvraj Singh has been a stalwart face for Indian cricket. He has been instrumental in Inia’s  2007 T20 and 2011 ODI World Cups wins. The Punjabi allrounder ha time and again produced stellar performances for the Indian cricket team.

Speaking with former England batsman Kevin Pietersen during an Instagram Live chat, Yuvraj said, “I will probably start with that (coaching). I am keener on coaching than doing commentary.”

Yuvraj reveals that he understands what sort of mindset a player should play with as he has played at various numbers in the batting order.

“I have more insight in limited-overs cricket and I can share my knowledge with players coming to bat at No.4, 5, 6 as to what sort of mindset they should have. I will probably start by being a mentor and then if it goes well maybe full-time coaching,” Yuvraj said.

Pietersen is a full-time commentator right now. He asked Yuvraj Singh to join him in the box. Yuvraj Singh responded with, “I thought I will take a break for a year. Play certain tournaments that make sense. I will join you guys and learn commentary first. Not sure how I will do as a commentator. So I will learn from you guys.”
