MS Dhoni and Sakshi Completes A Decade Together As Couple

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni and his lovely wife, Sakshi are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary on Saturday. The couple got hitched in Dehradun on July 4 in 2010. MS and Sakshi’s wedding was a pleasant surprise for the whole country as their marriage was a hush-hush affair in Sakshi’s native city.

Dhoni and Sakshi got blessed with an adorable daughter on February 6, 2015, and they named her ‘Ziva’. The couple is celebrating a decade of being married inside the confines of their farmhouse in Ranchi due to the coronavirus crisis. They have been spending time at the lavish property during the lockdown.

Dhoni and Sakshi invited very few guests at their wedding, which included some close friends and Bollywood actors John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, along with their family members and a few of his Indian cricketers. Although both Sakshi and Dhoni knew each other since childhood, they fell for each other after MS started playing for India. Dhoni and Sakshi’s father worked in the same company, MECON, in Ranchi.

Both their families knew each other, and the young buds went to the same school in Ranchi. Dhoni and Sakshi lost their connection in their teenage but hey reconnected after meeting at the Taj Bengal in Kolkata in 2007. Sakshi was interning at the hotel in the City of Joy.

Currently, MS is on a sabbatical from cricket and it has been extended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He played his last game for India in the 2019 World Cup semi-final loss against New Zealand in Manchester on July 9.
