The third T20I between India and England is scheduled to be taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. After a disappointing start to the series, the hosts made a strong comeback with an impressive performance with bat and ball in the second T20I. While the bowlers helped in restricting the visitors, it was the duo of Ishan Kishan and captain Virat Kohli that paved the way for an emphatic win.

With momentum on their side, Team India will be looking to take the lead in this series, although it is easier said than done. England, who began the series in fine fashion, seemed to be stuck in two minds right throughout the second T20I. While Jason Roy has silenced his critics, for now, there will be a lot of things to be expected of Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow, with Liam Livingstone breathing down their necks for a starting berth.

England will consider making some amends in the playing XI as they look to get back to winning ways with improved performance. Both teams are equally matched on paper, although England might hold the edge owing to greater depth and experience in their team. However, India also possesses a team with a decent balance of youthful and experienced characters and should go all-out in attack for the win on Tuesday.

Either way, another entertaining game of T20I cricket can be expected at Motera, with both sides eyeing a crucial win in this fixture.

The only change for the visitors could be Tom Curran making way for either Moeen Ali or Mark Wood. Considering the press conference of Eoin Morgan in which he said the wicket aiding spin, it should be Moeen, who can also take the ball away from the left-handers in Kishan and Pant. Although Wood’s bruised heel is better, England may save him for game four.

Probable XI: Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid

India:

Virat Kohli had said that Rohit would be coming back to the playing XI after the first couple of games. Going by that, he may come into the XI at the expense of KL Rahul, who’s had a disappointing two games. They may also bring back Axar for a pacer if the wicket assists spin.

Probable XI: KL Rahul/Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur/Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal
