Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be getting hitched with fiancé Nupur Nagar on November 23.
After a memorable Test match against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, as he was named as Man of the match, Bhuvi will miss the second Test between India and Sri Lanka which will be played in Nagpur from November 24 to 28 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium.
The marriage is expected to be a private ceremony in Meerut followed by a reception in Nupur’s hometown — Bulandshahar. The duo will also be hosting a reception in the capital on November 30, as the Indian cricketers will be here at that time for the third Test of the series — starting December 2.
Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan recorded a video with Bhuvneshwar and uploaded their candid chat on the social media platform Instagram. In the video, Shikhar said, “Hanji badshaho kya haal chal. Lo ji apna ek aur sher kal joru ka gulam banne jaa raha hai. Wo mere saamne hi betha hai, to usse puchte hai kesa lag raha hai. Moti chur ka ladoo jo khaye wo bhi pachtaye, jo na khaye wo bhi pachtaye.”
He further asked how Kumar is feeling about his wedding. He said, “Toh bhai kesa lag raha hai kal shaadi hai.” Bhuvneshwar corrected him saying he is not getting married tomorrow but on 23rd November, “kal nahi 23 ko.”
Dhawan also asked about the preparation for the ceremony. Kumar, who was in Kolkata after the first Test said he has not prepared anything yet. “Taiyari aisi kuch nahi hai, maine kuch nahi kiya jo bhi kiya gharwalo ne kiya hai. Toh aaj match khel ke wapis jaa rahe hai thake huwe hai. Toh pata nahi jaa kesi feeling aayegi waha pe, abhi toh aisi koi feeling nahi aayi.”
Bhuvi also shared the experience he has got from the married guys, like Dhawan, he said, “Jo maine inn logo se experience liya wo ye tha ki bohot maza aata hai.”
Later in the video, Dhawan also made fun of Bhuvneshwar for being too possessive about his fiancee. He said, “Tu toh abhi se joru ka gulaam bana hua hai.”
However, the pacer tackled it nicely and said that’s my love. He said, “Usse sayad pyar kehte hai.”
