Legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar took to social media on Sunday where he shared a video in which he along with former West Indies captain Brian Lara can be seen making people aware of road safety. In the 49-second video, Tendulkar talks about the importance of wearing a helmet while driving a two-wheeler.
Captioning the video on Twitter Sachin Tendulkar wrote: “Be it riding on the roads or driving on the Cricket bat and ball field, wearing a helmet is a must! Let’s not take road safety lightly & always keep safety first by wearing the right helmet. @BrianLara, thanks for helping spread this message mate. #RoadSafetyWorldSeries.”

While fans appreciated the initiative taken by Tendulkar and Lara, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s amusing take on the video left fans in splits. Commenting on the video, Yuvraj wrote: “Oscar nomination”.

Both Tendulkar and Yuvraj plied their trade for India legends in the recently concluded final of the Road Safety World Series T20 tournament. India Legends, captained by Tendulkar defeated Sri Lanka legends to clinch the title. Yusuf Pathan was adjudged player of the match for his all-around performance which helped India to win the trophy.
Sachin Tendulkar finished the tournament as the third-highest run-getter with 233 runs from seven matches. In the final, after being sent in to bat, Sachin Tendulkar and his men put on a huge total of 181 for four from their allotted 20 overs. Yuvraj Singh made the most of his good form with the bat and scored 60 runs off just 41 balls, he smashed four sixes and four boundaries.

Yusuf broke the opening stand by dismissing Dilshan and soon also got the prized scalp of Jayasuriya to bring India Legends back in the contest. Sri Lanka Legends never managed to get back in the game after that as they kept on losing wickets in the middle overs and despite a cameo from Weeraratne (38 off 15), they fell 14 runs short of the target. Dilshan, being the highest-run-scorer for leading the chart with 271 runs from eight matches, was adjudged player of the series.
