Delhi Capitals Starts #ProjectPlasma Campaign To Support Covid Warriors

Currently, India is fighting a hard battle with the Covid-19 virus. The daily tally of positive coronavirus has already surpassed the 300k mark and as a result, the healthcare facilities are facing a dearth of medical equipment, oxygen gas, and other necessary things. In these tough times, IPL franchises have started an initiative of urging people to come forward and help other people in need.

Now, the runner-up of IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals have started the #ProjectPlasma campaign to encourage people, who have survived coronavirus, to donate their plasma so that it can help the people who are fighting the battle against the virus. DC took to their official Twitter handle to initiate this noble cause.

Captioned the post regarding the same, the Delhi Capitals tweeted, “The second wave of COVID-19 has gripped our city and many parts of India. The time to come together is now to become responsible citizens and flatten the curve.”

The capitals further added, “#ProjectPlasma – A joint initiative by #DelhiCapitals and @feverfmofficial encourages COVID-19 survivors to donate their plasma in the fight against this pandemic. Reach out to the FeverFM team if you wish to donate your plasma and they will connect you with patients at respective hospitals in the city.”

After a stunning campaign in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), DC reached their maiden IPL final. The franchise started the ongoing campaign with a win over the three-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The Delhi-based franchise failed to keep up the winning momentum as they suffered a loss against Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, the Capitals have won their last three games as they registered wins against, Punjab Kings (PBKS), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Now, they will be facing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to fight for first place on the points table.
