Dinesh Karthik received his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday. He shared an image of him getting vaccinated on Twitter. His former Kolkata Knight Riders teammate Chris Lynn was quick to take a dig at him for wearing camouflage while taking the vaccine.
Chris Lynn started the banter with Karthik by commenting on his post. Referring to Karthik’s camouflage, Lynn wrote, “Could have at least worn pants.”

Karthik made a good comeback with a humorous response. He replied “Was thinking shorts like you, then realized I’m not in Maldives. So wore this.”

Australian players are in Maldives before heading back home. Australia has banned travel from India due to a massive surge in the cases of coronavirus in India.
Lynn and Karthik were teammates in the Kolkata Knight Riders camp before Lynn was bought by Mumbai Indians before the IPL 2020.

Karthik is one of the many Indians players that have taken the vaccine of the Covid-19 virus. Earlier, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara posted their pictures while getting vaccinated. Indian women cricket Smriti Mandhana also took her first dose of vaccine.
The Indian team will leave for England to participate in the World Test Championship final in June. They will play New Zealand in the marquee clash before heading into an intense five-match Test series against England.

Earlier, the Indian Premier League 2021 got suspended after coronavirus breached the bio-bubble environment. Players from several teams were found positive and forced the BCCI to take the big decision of suspending the season indefinitely. All the players left for their respective homes and destinations.
India is currently going through a very tough phase as the second wave of Covid-19 got spread across the nation. Several states have imposed lockdowns while the nation is producing a record number of cases daily.
