Indian batting lineup’s rock aka Cheteshwar Pujara is under quarantine in Mumbai ahead of Team India’s departure to the UK. The team is currently serving a two-week isolation period before leaving for England, where Virat Kohli’s troops will feature in the World Test Championship Final against New Zealand. This game will be followed by a five-match Test series against hosts England in August.
These mandatory quarantine periods have become a new normal during this ongoing pandemic across the world. The athletes spend a lot of time being inside their hotel room. They opt for different things as time killer. Some prefer social media these days, while some read books and watch new movies and shows.

Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara has engaged himself by playing video games to pass the time. He recently revealed on his Instagram account that he has a new gaming partner in her daughter Aditi. Both were seen enjoying playing the game and were glued to the screen.
Pujara will have a key role to play for India in the upcoming months with a lot of red-ball cricket around the corner. Pujara has become a mainstay of India’s batting lineup and is known for weathering storms. His heroic performances against Australia in January this year brought him a lot of applauds. He stood like a rock and rejected to surrender against a hostile Australian bowling lineup.
Describing Pujara’s final day heroics, Australian batsman Marcus Harris spoke to the ‘Cricket Life Stories’ YouTube channel.

“The final day was amazing to watch. The thought process the whole day was ‘are they going to for the runs or are they not?’. I think Rishabh played the best innings that day, but for Pujara to be copping an absolute barrage from everyone and wore them down, I felt he batted a bit like an Australian, taking everything on the chest and got on with it. Everyone else batted around him,” he said.
India will first face New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) from June 18 in Southampton. The No.1 ranked team in the longest format will then face England in a five-Test series starting August 4.
