With the World Test Championship (WTC) Final scheduled to commence on Friday, the ICC took to social media to post a fun video, where some of the Indian and Kiwi cricketers named their favorite stadiums to play Test cricket. India will be facing New Zealand in the WTC Final beginning today, at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

The ICC posted the video on Twitter, and it was well-received by fans, who were seen constantly commenting on teh post to pass their well-wishes to both teams for the upcoming fixture. Here is eth full video shared by the ICC:

The video consists of the likes of Shubman Gill, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Tim Southee, and Trent Boult, to name a few. In the video, young Gill also shared his favorite Test cricket venue in the world. The youngster made his Test debut during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in December 2020, and he played a crucial role as India pulled off a turnaround to defeat Australia 2-1.

Gill said, “The Test matches I have played, like all the seven Test matches, if I have to go through that, it has to be my debut in MCG. It has to be my favorite venue till now.”
Bumrah, who appeared in the short video, revealed that his favorite stadium is in Johannesburg. Meanwhile, New Zealand pace duo Trent Boult and Tim Southee also spoke about their favorite cricket venues for Test cricket.

On the other hand, Soutee said, “Lord’s. Just the history behind it and just turning up in Lord’s and somewhere that’s a very special place to play. Played there a few times and its somewhere where we always enjoy.” While Boult said, “Mine is a little weird. Adelaide Oval. I really enjoyed playing there, the first pink-ball Test took place there. It was an amazing occasion. There were probably 50,000 people for every game for three days. Good atmosphere, good hype, and a lot of history.”
