New Zealand speedster Kyle Jamieson has dismissed India captain Virat Kohli during the morning session of the third day of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship. Notably, the team had started the day at 146 runs on the board with the loss of 3 wickets. While a lot was dependent on Kohi, his dismissal made everyone disheartened.
However, Kyle Jamison trapped Virat Kohli in front of the stumps while he was facing his 8th ball of Day Three. Although he reviewed the umpire decision of LBW after discussing with Rahane, he was given out when he was batting at 44. Meanwhile, after this, fans got angry and they started abusing Kyle Jamieson for dismissing his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper as well.

However, as far as the game is concerned, New Zealand managed to bundle India within 217 on the board. On the other hand, Team India batting coach Vikram Rathour has earlier said that a 250 plus score in the first innings will be a good one considering the conditions as he believes it will put India in a fighting position against a strong side like New Zealand in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton.
“We would like to score as many runs as possible but 250 plus will be a reasonable score in these conditions,” Rathour said at the day end press conference. “Batting is about scoring runs. Rohit and Gill showed a lot of intent and looked to score wherever they can. Hats off to Virat and Rahane for the manner in which they batted but a lot of credit should also got to the openers.”

However, he also opened up about the claims that Cheteshwar Pujara is facing some technical problems as he has not been in good form and also has been hit at least four times on the helmet in Test matches recently as well.
“We are not really concerned and he is a good player. I don’t think pace is an issue with him. Till he batted, he looked solid and he has a role to play in the team. Today also, he played 50 odd balls. He just needs to convert those starts. It”s going to happen very soon,” Vikram Rathour signed off.
