The veteran Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja is considered by many to be one of the best all-rounders in modern-day cricket. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player was recently part of India’s World Test Championship (WTC) Final team. Team India suffered a loss against New Zealand by eight wickets, at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

So, when Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Riyan Parag were asked to name a player who can win both Orange and Purple Cap in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he gave Jadeja as the answer. RR and Parag conducted a question-and-answer session on Twitter on Wednesday.

Riyan Parag was last seen in action during IPL 2021, which was eventually got postponed indefinitely due to India’s battle against the COVID-19 second wave. The tournament was also hit with some high-profile coronavirus cases, which included Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Lakshmipathy Balaji and Michael Hussey.

Even SunRisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) Wriddhiman Saha was tested positive. He was part of India’s WTC Final team. Also, Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier fell victim to the dreaded virus. IPL 2021 is set to resume in the September-October window and will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Currently, the Indian team is enjoying a 20-day break in the UK after the WTC final loss before regrouping ahead of the 5-match Test series against England scheduled to be commencing August at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
