Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan turned 32 on Tuesday and Team India celebrated his birthday in full fervor. India is currently playing the third and the final Test against Sri Lanka at Delhi, where they need just 7 more wickets to win the series 2-0.
Dhawan, who turned 32 on December 5, was the highest scorer for the Indian team in the second innings of the 3rd Test at Delhi, he scored 67. At the end of Day 4, Dhawan has seen team members in the dressing room.
In the video, it can be seen that Shikhar along with his opening partner Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara in the midst of it all. However, skipper Virat Kohli is busy applying cake on the birthday boy’s face. Indian players get hold of him and paint his face with cake all over it.
The cake has Dhawan’s picture on it, a bat and ball. In the video, Shikhar is not wearing a shirt or a tee, he is bare-bodied, probably because he does not want to get his clothes dirty.
The southpaw is in great form and would like to continue his purple patch in South Africa as well. After the Sri Lanka series, the Indian cricket team will leave for South Africa on December 27 for 3 Tests, 6 ODIs, and 3 T20Is, starting January 5.
