The first Sunday of August mark international friendship day and it falls on the first day of August this year. People around the world are celebrating it with their friends and are sharing images on social media to wish for one another.

The cricketing fraternity also poured posts to mark the friendship day. Several Indian cricketers shared images to wish their friends. Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh shared a montage of one minute to mark the occasion.

In the video, several pictures can be seen along with few videos. There are several cricketers in the video including teammates, colleagues and opponents. Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Irfan Pathan, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, and even Chris Gayle are featuring in it.

The post goes by the caption, “To a lifetime of friendship. #HappyFriendshipDay”

The video starts with another caption, “There are friends, there is family and then there are friends that become family.”

Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also shared a video on Instagram to wish the friendship day. Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are in the video.

On the other hand, Virender Sehwag shared an image of Lord Krishna and Sudama with the caption, “Memories are endless, friendship is eternal. Happy #friendshipday.”

 

Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav shared an image with his wife. He wrote “A very happy friendship day to my best friend, the one who is always there to support me in all the good, bad and crazy.”

Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer tagged former England captain Michael Vaughan in his wish for friendship day. Both players have been involved in several banters on social media in the past but they always keep it friendly.
