During a recent video posted by the BCCI, Rishabh Pant said, “I have seen a lot of ups and downs in my early career but it has been a good learning for me because as a cricketer you evolve and you learn from your mistake, improve and come back to the ground and perform well. That’s the only thing every cricketer is trying to do. So I am glad to learn from my mistakes and capitalize on whatever opportunity I got after that.”

He further elaborated, “It was an amazing experience, especially when I came to the Test set up, I was really young, I was 19 or 20. I debuted in Nottingham. That was a happy moment. Then we played 1 or 2 more matches and then I got a hundred in Oval. Especially in England, it was an amazing experience in front of that crowd, we were under pressure. It was an amazing memory for me.”

Further, the southpaw recalled the moment when he made his Test debut and the first person he called was his childhood coach Tarak Sinha.

Rishabh Pant Recalled, “It was a dream come true as my coach Tarak Sinha Sir, tells me that ‘if you are not a Test player, I don’t count you as an international player’. So when I got the Test cap, I called him and told him that I have fulfilled his dream.”
