Kedar Jadhav has been ruled out of One-Day International series against Sri Lanka after sustaining a hamstring injury, confirmed by team India’s management on Saturday (December 9). Young all-rounder Washington Sundar will replace him in the squad.

Jadhav was doing rehabilitation in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore and was to be monitored on Saturday just before the Sri Lanka series. Though, he injured his hamstring again on Friday and couldn’t fully recover afterward.

The Tamil Nadu lad Washington Sundar will be his replacement into the squad, who is playing some exceptional cricket since the Indian Premier League this year. Earlier, he got cleared the all-important Yo-Yo Test, which helped him to take place in the T20 International side for Sri Lanka series as well.

Sundar was in good form during the Tamil Nadu Premier League and finished as the highest run-scorer apart from being the second best in the wicket’s column.
