Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are playing against each other in the battle of two teams who are relishing at different extremes in the points table of the Indian Premier League 2021.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first. But this decision seemed to backfired when SRH lost too many wickets upfront. Delhi Capitals bowlers didn’t get SRH batsmen going and restricted them to 134/9 in 20 overs.

Delhi Capitals’ dashing openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw came out to chase the target and started playing their shots. Both batsmen had already shown signs of aggression. Prithvi Shaw was trying to go hard but his aggression brought his downfall, thanks to a superb catch by Kane Williamson.

Khaleel Ahmed came to bowl the third over of the innings and had already conceded two boundaries to Shaw. Khaleel cleverly changed the pace of the ball and opted for a slower ball which completely deceived Shaw into a false shot, who had already committed to play a slog.

The ball looped in the air and was going over the fielders stationed inside the 30-yard circle. Williamson, however, sensed an opportunity of breakthrough and started running backwards with a side chest.

Williamson completed a brilliant catch running backwards. He lost his run and got grounded but didn’t let the ball fluff from his hands.

Shaw got out for 11 after playing 8 balls, where he hit two boundaries. Shikhar Dhawan, though, kept going along with Shreyas Iyer.

Earlier, Abdul Samad and Rashid Khan saved the blushes of SRH by playing a handy cameo towards the end of their innings. SRH huffed and puffed to manage just 134 in their 20 overs. Anrich Nortje was the pick of the bowler with two wickets at the expense of just 12 runs in his quota of four overs.
