Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma have been playing alongside each other for the Indian team for India together for quite some time now. Both of them share a special camaraderie with each other and have often been seen pulling each other’s leg on social media or in person whenever they are together. Another such incident took place at the toss on Saturday before the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in Sharjah.

Rohit and Pant are the captains of the two respective franchises and have met each other probably for the first time since the Test series in England. No wonder Rohit and Rishabh had a friendly chat before the toss began and yet again shared a hilarious moment in the middle.

It happened after Rishabh Pant finally won the toss and decided to bowl first. He actually told his decision to the match referee and Rohit was caught unaware as to what his team needed to do. When he asked Pant about the same, the DC skipper said, “We’re gonna bowl first.” This left Rohit Sharma in splits even as Pant also went for a chat with Murali Kartik with a smile on his face.

Here is the video of the incident:

As far as the playing combinations are concerned, both teams made one change to their XI. The Capitals made a comeback to Prithvi Shaw who regained his fitness after missing the previous match. However, they decided to retain Steve Smith and Shaw replaced Lalit Yadav. On the other hand, MI made a tactical change bringing in Jayant Yadav to bowl at the number of the southpaws from Delhi Capitals and benched the leg-spinner Rahul Chahar.

This is an important game for MI as they have won five out of their 11 matches and still have their qualification in their hands. Delhi, meanwhile, have qualified for the playoffs but they would be keen on sealing their position in the top two with yet another win.
