Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis walked out to start the proceeding for West Indies. England didn’t take long to separate the two openers as Chris Woakes removed Lewis. Moeen Ali removed Simmons in the next over as West Indies were jolted early.

Chris Gayle came out to bat at number three. He was expected to do the repair job as the wickets were falling out. However, he opted to go areal against Tymal Mills on the last ball of the powerplay and edged the ball high in the sky.
