3 – Upul Tharanga (1011) became the 3rd batsman after Virat Kohli (1460) and Rohit Sharma (1293) to surpass the tally of 1000 ODI runs in 2017.

8 – The men in blue registered their 8th consecutive bilateral ODI series win. They became only the 3rd team after Windies and Australia to do so.

13 – Rohit smashed as many as 13 sixes in the series and it was the most by any Indian skipper in a bilateral ODI series and the 3rd most in an ODI series. It is also the record for the 5th most for India in a bilateral ODI series. He himself smashed 23 sixes against Australia in 2013 and 14 against them in 2016, while MS Dhoni hit 17 sixes against Sri Lanka in 2005. The 13 sixes are also the most for an Indian in a 3-match series as no other player hit more than seven sixes in a series.

2 – Shikhar Dhawan’s century helped him to become the fastest for Indian batsman to surpass the tally of 4000 ODI runs after Virat Kohli (93 innings) and overall the 6th fastest.

139.5 – Batting average of Dhawan in six bilateral ODI series deciders. His average in those matches goes up to 139.5 while chasing with two centuries and a half-century in three innings.

2 – Shikhar gathered 1000 runs against Sri Lanka across formats in 2017 and he became only the 2nd batsman to score 1000+ International runs in a calendar year against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli scored 1183 runs across formats against the Lankans in this year only.
