It has been more than a year since Brendon McCullum has retired from international cricket. However, he has represented a few teams in T20 leagues around the world. For the majority of those matches, McCullum has scored runs at a high strike rate, something he usually does. But what has been his USP in the past year in his fielding.
McCullum, 35, is at that point of his life where players tend to fall down on standards in terms of fitness and fielding. But such has never been the case with the former New Zealand captain. He has often seen diving around, be it in the circle or at the boundary. Talking about the long chases, he saves them quick and fast!
To say that Brendon McCullum defines unreal in his fielding would not be wrong. A similar incident happened today when McCullum dived full length at long-on to clinch Chris Gayle’s catch. Watch the video to see what happened after that:
