Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) curator Samandar Singh Chauhan believes the team who won the toss should decide to bowl first in Indore T20I between India and Sri Lanka. Indore 22-yard strip is expected to be a batting paradise and bowlers may have a nightmare sort of outing in the second game of the T20 International series.
Talking to the Press Trust of India (PTI), Chauhan quoted “It was cloudy here yesterday and there is the same forecast for tomorrow. In that case, dew won’t fall before 7:30 or 7:45 which means first 10 overs won’t be affected by dew. Still, bowling first will be a good option for captain winning the toss.”
“We have been using a chemical which prevents grass from getting wet. It causes dew to slip. We will use the substance tomorrow as well to negate the dew factor,” he added.
First match at Cuttack witnessed a damp pitch, where batsmen found it hard to play big strokes. India somehow managed 180 runs at the board, which proved more than enough as Sri Lanka’s batting order ran out of oxygen after just scoring 87 runs.
India will go into the match with momentum in their favor and they will try to take an unsellable lead in the series.
