In the ongoing second T20I between India and Sri Lanka at Indore, openers Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul went all guns blazing against the Sri Lankan bowlers.
The Indian openers got their feet set initially. The first four overs saw India scoring 26-0. However, both of them changed gears post the fourth over.
In which was the last over of the powerplay, the duo (predominantly Sharma) scored 16 runs as he hit Akila Dananajaya for a couple of fours and a six.
In the 11th over of the Indian innings, the Indians scored 26 runs off the Thisara Perera over. Sharma, who once again did bulk of the scoring, hit four consecutive monstrous sixes.
In the following over, Sharma scored a boundary over cover to complete his second T20I hundred. It was the joint-fastest T20I hundred, off 35 balls, and the fastest by an Indian.
