Australian limited-overs skipper, Aaron Finch has been named by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a replacement for England batter Alex Hales for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Hales has decided not to take part in the upcoming tournament owing to the bubble fatigue. Finch – Australia’s ICC T20 World Cup-winning captain, has thus far played 88 T20Is and has amassed as many as 2686 runs with the help of a couple of centuries and 15 fifties.

Earlier, Alex Hales took to his Instagram account to announce that he will not be taking part in the upcoming 15th edition of the IPL. In his post, Hales wrote: “I don’t feel as though I can commit myself to another extended period within a secure environment. It wouldn’t be fair on the team or myself if I wasn’t able to perform to the level expected of me. I’ll now take some time to rest and recharge ahead of the summer.”
