Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketers watched the biopic of coach Pravin Tambe in a special screening recently. To note, Tambe made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the age of 41 in the 2013 edition. The now 50-year-old balanced his day work and cricket at the same time during starting years of struggle and found it difficult to even get selected to the Mumbai Ranji team.ย
However, the struggle and hard work of Pravin Tambe paid off as he came into the eyes of the Rajasthan Royals scout before 2013 IPL. Tambe made his debut for the former IPL champions in 2013 and went on to play for other franchises like Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders before he became the coach of KKR. A biopic film โKaun Pravin Tambeโ has been made on his life and it was screened recently for KKR players, which is also his last franchise in the league.
