Gujarat Titans (GT) will be locking horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Sunday. They both won their previous match and would be looking to continue their winning momentum.
The Titans registered a comfortable 37-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the last match after scoring 192 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. They have won 4 out of 5 games in the tournament and are currently standing at the numero uno position on the IPL 2022 points table.

On the other hand, CSK managed to win their previous game after losing 4 matches on the trot. They registered a dominating 23-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after posting a total of 216 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Despite this win, CSK is currently placed in the second-last position giving tough competition to Mumbai Indians (MI), who are still searching for their first win.

The Titans have picked the most wickets in the powerplay (12) so far in IPL 2022. Given that Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali have a good record against Rashid Khan – with all three batters able to score freely against the leg spinner – the Titans will need early wickets. While Mohammed Shami has struggled in the powerplay overs after the game against Lucknow Super Giants, Lockie Ferguson has made up for the lack of penetration with his crucial wickets.
