Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have nothing going their way in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). With a string of defeats (5 defeats in 6 matches), the injury-plagued team is standing at the second place from the bottom of the points table. While star all-rounder Deepak Chahar, who was bought by the franchise for INR 14 crore, has been ruled out for the rest of the season, it seems that the overseas fast bowler, Adam Milne seems to be following in Chahar’s footsteps.
According to the latest reports of Insidesport, Adam Milne has also been sidelined for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Milne, who made his CSK debut in the first match against KKR this season, was injured during practice before the second match. The doctors advised Milne to rest for two weeks as the scan showed that the severity of the injury was high.

Doctors, who recently conducted fresh tests once again to gauge the severity of the injury, said it could take a few more weeks for Milne to recover. Under the current circumstances, it is almost impossible for CSK to move beyond the league stage unless something miraculous happens.
With this, it seems certain that Adam Milne will be missing for the rest of the season. It is learned that CSK bought Milne for INR 1.9 crore in this year’s mega auction. It will be a double blow for CSK as earlier last week, it was announced Deepak Chahar will be missing the rest of the IPL 2022.

Meanwhile, CSK will be locking horns with Mumbai Indians (MI) in their next match on April 21. The two teams will meet at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The situation in Mumbai this season is much worse compared to CSK. MI has lost 6 matches so far and is at the bottom of the points table.
