Rajasthan Royals player Shimron Hetmyer has left the squad to return home to Guyana for the birth of his first child. However, he will return to the squad soon as he mentioned that his stuff is here in the hotel only. However, the Royals are in third place on the points table and are on the verge of making it to the playoffs which are set to begin on May 24.
“My stuff is still left in the room,” the 25-year old said, which indicates that he will be returning to India soon as well. However, Hetmyer has been consistent with the bat to the Royals’ victories. As the finisher, he has scored 291 runs so far which came at an average of 72. Moreover, he has remained unbeaten in seven out of 11 innings as well. Apart from that, in death-overs (17-20) he played at a strike rate of 214.28, and he is also among the top-five most destructive finishers in IPL 2022 (min 30 balls) as well.
