Former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli got nostalgic on the 11th anniversary of his Test debut on Monday, June 20. It was on that very day in 2011 when he donned the whites for India for the very first time against the West Indies at the Sabina Park in Jamaica and he didn’t look back ever since. On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of his Test debut, the batting megastar shared a special video on social media to celebrate it in a unique manner.

The video montage comprised many memorable moments featuring both Kohli and Team India in the last few years which also saw their emergence in Test cricket. Taking to his official Twitter handle, Virat Kohli shared a 17-second video that featured all his achievements and accomplishments in red-ball cricket.

The creatively impressive video commences with the former Indian skipper logging in on his PC by entering his password, then selecting a particular file that has treasured fond memories of his excellence in the longest format of the game. The video features him celebrating his individual and collective achievements including centuries and a series of wins along with on-field celebrations with his teammates.

Ever since Virat Kohli made his Test debut, he has gone on to set a benchmark for himself in the traditional format of the game, registering 27 centuries and seven double centuries. Meanwhile, the former skipper played his 100th Test match in March this year and also went on to breach the 8,000 run-mark. Overall, Virat Kohli has played 101 Tests and has amassed 8043 runs averaging 49.96.

Under his captaincy between 2015 and 2022, Team India out the most as India never lost a home Test series under him. The Indian team was also at the pinnacle of the ICC rankings for 42 months i.e. from October 2016 to March 2020. Under Kohli’s rein, India won their first-ever Test series on Australian soil in the 2018-19 season.
