A shocking incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s district Ratlam, where a mad cricket fan Babulal Bariya attempted suicide after Virat Kohli’s failure in the first Test at Cape Town against South Africa. He poured Kerosene over his head and tried to burn himself before rushing to a nearby hospital, where doctors found his injuries 60 percent burnt.

Team India is involved in a three-match Test series against South Africa where they have lost the opening game of the series, which features double failure of skipper Kohli. Babulal, who is a huge fan of the Indian team and its captain, was too disappointed with Kohli and attempted suicide in response.

Indian batting maestro poked a delivery which was going well outside the off stump and Morne Morkel’s extra bounce did the trick against him as he got dismissed on 5 at the fag end of day one.

Ram Singh is the assistant sub-inspector of Ambedkar Nagar, Ratlam and informed that same to media. He noted that Babulal was drunk before the whole incident and a disappointment of Kohli’s failure led him to set himself on fire.

Ram Singh quoted to Hindustan Times “Bariya told us that when Kohli got out ‘uska dimag satak gaya’ (he was very upset). He took a bottle of kerosene nearby and poured it on his head and set himself ablaze. When family members came to know what he had done after he started shouting, they immediately rushed him to the district hospital for treatment. He had received burn injuries on his face, head and hands. He had received around 60 % burn injuries.”
