Nowadays, England’s skipper, Ben Stokes is more of a batting all-rounder, as he bowls quite less than he used to earlier, but what he pulled off with the ball on Sunday at Edgbaston during England’s rescheduled fifth Test against India raised the eyebrows of many. More importantly, it was against none other than former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who had no clue how to face it.

India reached 95/3 during the final session of Day 3 during the fifth Test match against England after bowling them out for 284 in the first innings. They had a hefty lead of 229 runs and already have a 2-1 lead in the five-match series, they are way favorites to win the series.

However, the Indian fans, as well as the players and his teammates would have hoped for something more half an hour earlier when Virat Kohli was in the middle. The former Indian skipper was looking in good touch, scoring 20 off 40 balls, before a jaffa from Ben Stokes ended his stay.

It was a good length delivery, but the ball flew from that length and it surprised Kohli. Hence, it popped up off his gloves before Sam Billings dropped the chance to grab it. Still, Joe Root, well placed at first slip, was alert to take that on the rebound. As a result, the former India captain’s lean patch continues

Here is the video of the dismissal of Virat Kohli:

Earlier in the Test, Virat Kohli was engaged in an altercation with Jonny Bairstow. On day 3, the English batter was missing the ball consistently outside off stump by Mohammed Shami.

Thatโ€™s when Kohli said something to Bairstow to which he fired back. This left Kohli angry; he then let loose his verbal volleys at the batter. In the end, the former India skipper grabbed his catch of Bairstow and blew a kiss when he was taking the long walk back to the pavilion.
