Former Australia pacer, Brett Lee has shared an anecdote involving former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli and his son Preston Lee. Brett recalled one special moment that he said would stay with him forever. Former pacer said, while commentating on the field during a Test match in India, he had told Kohli that he was his favorite cricketer of Preston. Upon finding out that, Kohli presented Brett with his Test shirt for Preston.

In a video shared on his Youtube channel, Brett Lee said, “One special moment that will stay with me forever was when India was playing a Test match in India. I was commentating on the field and I saw Kohli out in the middle. We were talking, laughing, and sharing moments about the times we have played against each other.”

He further recalled, “I said ‘my son Preston thinks you are the best thing in slice, already loves you and you’re his favorite player’. He was like, really? I said, yeah he loves your cover drive. After the Test match finished, I was presented with a Test shirt: VK captain and Kohli had signed an address to Preston. To this day, the shirt hangs up in his room.”

Virat Kohli has been going through a rough patch in his career for quite some time. He scored only 31 runs across two innings during the Birmingham Test, which England won by seven wickets.

The former India skipper only managed to register scores of 1 and 11 in two T20Is he played against the Three Lions. Kohli missed the first ODI against England, which India won by 10 wickets, as he had a mild groin strain. He will be expected to play the second ODI against England.
