Jasprit Bumrah hopeful of Virat Kohli’s presence in the second ODI

Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah has said that he is hopeful of Virat Kohli’s presence in the second ODI against England. And, he hopes that Kohli will recover in time as well. However, Kohli had missed the first ODI on Tuesday due to a mild groin strain as India beat the hosts and won the game by 10 wickets where Bumrah was the star of the show on Tuesday as he returned with figures of 6 for 19.

After the match, he opened up on the status of Kohli and said that he is hoping to see him back in the field for the second ODI on Thursday. “I don’t know the status of his injury because I did not play the last game (3rd T20I). Hopefully, he recovers, but I really don’t know the status of his injury,” said Bumrah.

However, the Indian pacer further added that England have got good results in Tests and they would like to test themselves against them against good teams in difficult conditions as well. Meanwhile, the second ODI in the three-match series will be played on Thursday at Lord’s cricket stadium.

“Of course, no doubt about the quality of the England side. They’ve got a lot of good results and whenever you do well against a very good team and they’ve got a lot of success, you always want to test yourself against very good players and in difficult conditions, yeah. Very happy with the overall performance, and yeah, today was a good day,” Jasprit Bumrah concluded
