Dasun Shanaka Opines India Plays To Dominate The Opposition

Sri Lanka skipper, Dasun Shanaka has showered praises on Team India ahead of their Super Fours clash on Tuesday and said that Rohit Sharma and his men have a mindset to beat any team on the international stage. Both teams will be locking horns in an important match as India is looking to make a strong comeback from their loss to Pakistan, while Sri Lanka is looking to build on the momentum from their back-to-back victories against Bangladesh and Afghanistan respectively.

The Indian team was dealt with an injury blow recently as Ravindra Jadeja had been ruled out of the tournament. However, Shanaka still opines that India will be a difficult team to lock horns with. Speaking ahead of the clash, as quoted by AFP, the Sri Lankan captain said that the Indian players have a lot of experience from playing in the IPL and around the world.

Dasun Shanaka also commented on India’s mindset and body language, saying that they’re always looking to dominate the opposition on the international stage. He said that his team is well-prepared and is looking forward to the clash on Tuesday. He explained, “Their body language and mindset is to beat any of the countries on the international stage. Likewise, we are well prepared and looking forward to it.”

The Sir Lankan skipper also went on to say that India will not be playing under any pressure while facing the island nation and said that they played a good match against Pakistan on Sunday. He also said that Sri Lanka would use the same approach they had in the previous games against India.

Dasun Shanaka explained, “I think they had a very good game last night. There is nothing called under pressure at the moment because they are playing very good cricket. Our approach will the same like other games, playing in a positive manner.”
