The hard-hitting Australian batter, Tim David has been an invaluable addition to the Aussies in their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 squad. While the Singapore-born cricketer had not even made his Australia debut until last month, his selection was fast-tracked before the marquee event Down Under starting later this month.
Several former cricketers have showered praises on Tim David and the latte has also proven that the Australian team management has done no wrong by giving him a go as he has shown that he is ready for international cricket. The Mumbai Indians star has shown superb form donning the Australia jersey in the 4 T20Is so far.

Overall, too, Tim David’s record is simply amazing as he has amassed more than 600 runs at an average of nearly 40 and a blistering strike rate of close to 160. In the second T20I against West Indies at Gabba too, David showed exactly why he is rated so highly by the cricket pundits, especially in the shortest format of the game.
Tim David had amassed 42 off just 20 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 4 boundaries which propelled the hosts to 178/7 in their 20 overs. David took a particular liking to Obed McCoy as he amassed 20 runs off his first 4 balls of what was the 17th over of the innings before getting dismissed in the fifth delivery.

In the third ball of this over, Tim David hit a monstrous 110-metre six which makes for a spectacular view. McCoy delivered a slower ball which was in the batsman’s arc and he muscled it with all his might as it went to the upper deck of the stadium.
“It’s gone, big one, the upper decker from Tim David and it bounces back. That’s like a baseball shot,” the commentator expressed while describing the shot. The video of the shot was shared by Cricket Australia with the caption: “Tim David with the one-two punch! The second six travelled 110m! 💥💥”
