On Wednesday,  the veteran batter also presented a special cap to Dawid Malan, who was playing his 50th game in the shortest format as well. Alongside the cap, Hussey also praised the left-handed batter for his amazing numbers and records that too came for a rather short period of time. He went on to compare the batter with veteran batters like – Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.

“Well, this is something I never thought I will do in my lifetime, an English cap. Congratulations to Mal, who is playing his 50th game for England today. Obviously a lot of highlights in your career already – one of four centurions for England, second-highest scorer ever in the history of T20 cricket, right behind Alex Hales, number one player in the world for a period of time and also the fastest ever to 1000 runs, better than Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, I believe, quicker by a few games,” he said.

The English international, Dawid Malan has amassed 1692 runs in 51 matches with an average of 39.35 and a strike rate of 138.69 as well. During the stint, he also scored a hundred and 14 half-centuries too. However, both England and Australia are currently taking on each other.

After the game was called off, Jos Buttler said – “We had a good series in Pakistan, to come and continue that over here is a good feeling. We just had 2 and a bit overs to play, so just came out and gave everything we had with the bat. The conditions were challenging and I thought we were pretty good across every department. Woakes was unbelievable in his first spell tonight, got the ball to swing and that’s good news for us.”

Aaron Finch said, “It was, there was quite a bit of rain yesterday and today as well, and we would have been happier with a full game. Credit to England, they outplayed us in all the three games, but I thought the fielding was better on a slightly greasy surface tonight. We will take a couple of days off, recharge, enjoy each other’s company and start our preparations for the World Cup.”
