Despite the reported differences between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the star all-rounder, CSK has officially retained the player ahead of the forthcoming season. Ravindra Jadeja endured a torrid season in the previous edition and there were speculations that he could move to another franchise in 2023.

However, it appears as though both parties have managed to solve the issues, and the speculations have been put to rest following the retention made by the franchise. The association between the two is set to continue in the 16th edition of IPL.
Jadeja is currently going through rehab for his knee surgery that kept him on the sidelines from the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022. The 33-year-old is expected to return for the Bangladesh tour next month in December as he has been included in the Test and ODI squads.
