In the second Test between India and Australia, Ravindra Jadeja made a huge impact as he managed to get the Australian skipper, Pat Cummins with an unplayable delivery. Cummins attempted a slog sweep to a straight delivery but failed to connect the ball kept low and even his pad wasn’t in as a second line of defense. The ball kept low and skidded, crashing into the stumps.

Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal of Cummins was a significant turning point in the game, as it came during a period when India was taking wickets at regular intervals and on the earlier delivery, Jadeja got the prized wicket of Peter Handscomb. Earlier in the hour, Ravichandran Ashwin had set the tone by taking a number of key dismissals, and Jadeja had also stepped up with some crucial contributions.

Despite the loss of wickets, Australia still needed to score at least 175 runs to have a chance of fighting back in the game. However, with the quality of India’s bowling attack, that target looked increasingly difficult to achieve.

Earlier, Peter Handscomb was dismissed on the previous ball, leaving the visitors in deep trouble. Handscomb was lured into a false shot by Ravindra Jadeja, who tossed the ball up nicely outside off. Handscomb was forced to go for a drive, but the turn took the outside edge and was easily caught by the slip.

Ravindra Jadeja’s delivery was well executed, with the left-arm spinner slowing it down just enough to get some turn off the pitch. Handscomb was caught in two minds, failing to fully cover the line of the ball and paying the price for his indecision. With Australia now struggling at the crease, it will be up to the remaining batsmen to dig deep and try to mount a comeback.
